Tri-Win is a direct mail house and digital print shop based in Dallas TX. We were fortunate enough to have our best year ever in 2010 continuing the trend of company growth we have seen every year since we were founded in 1995. Now we boast nearly 500 annual clients and send out an average of 500,000 pieces of mail every day. 

Introduction/Executive Summary

Seeing an opportunity in the statement mailing industry Tri-Win needed to increase the speed, efficiently, and reliability of our envelope insertion process. The technological advantages of the Pitney Bowes FlowMaster® inline Inserters turned out to be the best solution to our problems. The increased speed, efficiency, and reliability allowed Tri-Win to win the business of not one but two major statement mailing companies.

Business Challenge

To win new business in the field of statement mailing Tri-Win needed to update the way we processed and handled direct mail inserting. Prior to the FlowMaster® Inserters Tri-Win would fold on one machine, nest pieces by hand, insert on another machine, and then inkjet on yet another machine. Having to move materials from one corner of our shop to another was a logistical problem and major time concern.  It was obvious that we needed to make a major change to our processes if we wanted to stay competitive.

Solution Description

After purchasing our Pitney Bowes FlowMaster® inline Inserters with optional camera verification systems, and in-line ink jetting station capabilities all the folding, nesting, inserting, ink jetting and verification steps are completed in one pass, on one machine.The speed that Tri-Win processes statement mailings has increased from 5000 pieces per hour to 12,000 pieces per hour for the same job.

Results Achieved

Thanks to the technological advantages of the Pitney Bowes FlowMaster® Inserters Tri-Win increased the speed we insert envelopes by nearly 60% reducing the amount of labor needed per job. We increased our reliability by providing 100% output verificationon every job. Most importantly we increased our customer base. The FlowMaster’s® capabilities providedus the edge to win the business of two of our “top 5” customers. Tri-Win increased its annual revenue from $6.2 million in 2009 to $10.4 million in 2010, and we thank Pitney Bowes and their FlowMaster® Inserters for providing us with the technological edge that let us win the new business.
